24th ANNUAL PIG ROAST!!!

WHEN: SATURDAY, MAY 24th, 2025

WHERE: Camp Albemarle, 1654 4-H Way

We are still around and have been throwing this little party for the last 25 years!! (skipping the 2 COVID years)

The PIG ROAST started as a party for Joe’s bartending class and has evolved a lot over these 25 years. It has always been just a fun day and a great party. We now have tons of kid-friendly activities to make it fun for the whole family.

What We Provide:

  • The venue
  • The pig (cooked to perfection!)
  • A great atmosphere for fun and celebration

What You Should Bring:

  • Whatever you plan on drinking
  • A side dish (optional but always appreciated!)

WHAT TO EXPECT:

  • A wonderful day to hang out with old friends, meet new friends, eat excellent food, listen to great music, jump in the river, play life-sized JENGA, ring toss, giant slip and slide, and more!
  • Tons of space for camping—bring a tent and stay the night! There are also 80+ bunks available in basic cabins (bring your own bedding). Check out: Camp Albemarle – A Unique Community Resource
  • Look for the Pig Balloons at the entrance (until they get stolen…)
  • The party starts at noon and goes all day!

IMPORTANT REMINDERS:

  • Do NOT plan on drinking and driving home! Uber/Lyft it or camp out with us.
  • Very kid-friendly (until the sun goes down).
  • Some traditions must stand! Yes, Joe will still wear a coconut bra!
  • Bring a swimsuit if it’s hot—you can cool off in the river or slip and slide.
  • Camp with us and you might even get breakfast (and help clean up) in the morning. 🙂

DONATIONS:

There will be a donation bucket at the bar—if you would be so kind as to throw in a few bucks, it will help cover costs and keep this tradition alive!

Come hungry, bring your friends, and get ready to eat, drink, and be merry for the 24th time! See you there!
